Google blocking YouTube on Amazon Devices

You scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours says Google as they block YouTube on the Amazon Echo and FireTV devices. Google wants a partnership with Amazon to allow sales of Google products on the shopping supersite and so far Amazon has declined, so now Amazon is missing YouTube. In the end it’s just consumers losing out.

Did any of your favorites make the list? Which ones leave you scratching your head wondering if the world is spiraling downwards?

Nintendo and Nvidia bring HD Wii games to Shield TV in China

If you pick up a Chinese Shield TV, you’ll be able to play New Super Mario Bros. Wii, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and Punch-Out! right away, with other games including Super Mario Galaxy set for future release. All of these games have been remastered in 1080p, meaning they should look a lot better on modern TVs than they did back on the Wii, and they sell for 68 yuan — about $10.

Shorter games for time crunched gamers

The good people over at Game Informer have put together a great list of games for those of us that don’t have time to sink into a 100+ hour open world adventure epic.
