This week, the guys discuss Facebook Messenger automatically playing ads, Mario Bros, and Jason surprises us with a “reverse” quiz show! Stick around to hear us flail wildly as we try to discuss a product which we don’t know anything about!
Richard Harrison, known as "the Old Man" on cult reality show Pawn Stars has died at the age of 77. Harrison's death was confirmed by his son and co-star on the History channel show, Rick Harrison, who called his father his "hero".
Sad news for fans of AMC’s Comic Book Men as the show has been canceled after a 7 season run.
Facebook seemingly took a look at its Messenger and decided it didn't contain enough stuff already. Hence, the company is adding autoplay video ads to the chat app. The rollout has started already, but as usual it may be a while before you see them. Facebook Messenger started showing static ads last year, and now it's upping the ante. The app has been accused of bloat many times, and this will certainly not help alleviate people's fears about it turning into something that's not very streamlined.
Instagram is launching IGTV. Accessible from a button inside the Instagram homescreen, as well as a standalone app, IGTV will spotlight popular videos from Instagram celebrities.
Before Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes departs the cast of AMC’s The Walking Dead, a familiar face will return to the popular zombie drama. After rumors started circulating, it has now been confirmed that original cast member Jon Bernthal will return for one episode of the series’ ninth season. Circumstances around Shane’s return are kept under wraps. Since the character suffered a very conclusive death in the second season’s penultimate episode, it’s safe to assume that the character will either appear in a flashback segment, or perhaps as a hallucination of sorts — two things that The Walking Dead has been known to do from time to time.
Adam and Dave battle each other in a backwards song clip challenge and Dave comes out the victor!
Interesting idea, but where are the modern Mario games?
What movie would you love to see Kevin Smith ReMake/Reboot?
The God of War collection includes six prints, which all feature Kratos and his son Atreus in a variety of scenarios: paddling past a giant statue, preparing to face dark enemies, or being stomped by an angry troll. All of the art comes from the team at Sony’s Santa Monica Studio, where God of War was developed. The prints start at $95, and go up from there depending on framing and finish.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate GameCube Controller
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate arrives on Nintendo Switch this December, and while it'll support several different controller options, the only way to play the game for many Smash fans is with a GameCube controller. At E3 2018, Nintendo confirmed existing GameCube controllers will be compatible with the game via an adapter, but if you don't have any or are interested in adding more to your collection, you can now pre-order one.

Wannacries is a hardrock band based in Stockholm, Sweden. It was formed by two IT guys who, one day in 2017, decided to start a band together. They had both been playing music in different shapes and forms for 20+ years. Daniel handles the bass and sings/screams in the microphone. Per is the guitar hero and studio genius.
The name started as a joke when they needed a name for the first gig. The ransomware WannaCry was in it’s prime and the name stuck, so they kept it. Wannacries are influenced by classic rock acts such as Rolling Stones and Black Sabbath as well as modern bands like Avenged Sevenfold and Stone Sour. Their trademarks are fast and catchy songs with a sharp, modern guitar sound. Since the release of their debut EP the songs have been played on a number of internet radio stations and Spotify playlists.
They released their first EP Deadline King in January 2018. It has two original songs and two covers given the Wannacries treatment.
